FSSAI Notifies New Food Safety Officer for North Central Railway Under Statutory Powers

By notification dated 26 February 2026, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), in exercise of powers under Sub-Section (5) of Section 10 read with Section 37 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, amended its principal notification dated 18 April 2017. The amendment inserts an additional entry in the existing table of notified Food Safety Officers under Indian Railways. Shri Niraj Kumar Gupta has been notified as Food Safety Officer for North Central Railway, effective from the date of publication of the notification in the Gazette of India. The principal notification was originally published on 20 April 2017 and was last amended on 15 September 2025. The present notification updates the list by adding the new officer and his area of jurisdiction.

F. No. RCD-10001/4/2021-Regulatory-FSSAI-(part-1).— In exercise of the powers conferred under Sub-Section 5 of Section 10 read with Section 37 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby notifies the following officers as Food Safety Officer for the area as mentioned against their names under Indian Railways with effect from the date of publication of this notification by amending the principal notification dated the 18th April, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4 on 20th April, 2017:-

In the table, after the existing entries, the following shall be inserted in the respective columns, namely:-
