A Clarion Call To Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi Ji, Hon’ Ble Home Minister Amit Shah Ji And Former Bjp President Of Tamil Nadu Mr. Annamalai Ji
Annamalai and Tamil Nadu BJP are facing their greatest dilemma of their political journey as to which direction that they have to take with regard their future in Tamil Nadu politics. It is in the moments of decision that the destiny is shaped.
Sigmund Freud said “Conscience is the internal perception of the rejection of a particular wish operating within us.” “Conscience is what tells you whether an action is right or wrong. It is the reason you have guilt or remorse after doing something morally questionable, and the reason you feel relief or pride after telling the truth or giving to charity. It can also have an effect on decisions you are contemplating. If you just have a bad feeling about a possible action, your conscience may be telling you to choose otherwise. The sense of right and wrong is learned and deeply embedded, so someone with a very strict religious upbringing may have a more critical conscience than someone brought up with a looser moral compass.” Hence conscience will dictate what action that one has to take.
Annamalai and the BJP High Command before taking their plunge have to ask their conscience as to what they gained by working together in Tamil Nadu Politics. Annamalai should ask whether is it justifiable to quit BJP at this moment crisis? BJP High Command should ponder over whether will it serve the interest of BJP in Tamil Nadu to achieve their objectives in Tamil Nadu if they allow Annamalai to quit? If a dispassionate and unbiased assessment is made it will reveal that the basic political objectives and ideologies of Annamalai and BJP are identical and only differ in the implementation methods adopted in the execution of their strategy. “To err is human” Even in one of the important recent judgments of the Apex Court, they also accepted the dictum “TO ERR IS HUMAN”. Therefore, one should have the courage of conviction to accept the truth of committing an error, more courage to apologize for the error and still more courage to rectify the error committed.
Annamalai, a former Karnataka Cadre IPS Officer served in Udipi, Chikkamanguluru and Bengaluru famously known as ‘Karnataka Singham’ for his policing style, resigned from the IPS post and joined BJP in August 2020. His meteoric rise in BJP shows that he was elevated immediately on joining BJP as President of Tamil Nadu BJP in 2021 and served till 2015. He became one of the most visible leaders in the BJP in Tamil Nadu. Annamalai is responsible for increasing the visibility of BJP in Tamil Nadu through his extensive grass root level approaches, public outreach, and a strong media exposure. He became a charismatic, dynamic and reform-oriented leader and an aggressive confrontational political leader. Annamalai, the upright leader and an ardent follower of P. M Modi is honest, responsible, and moral leader with integrity. He attracted the youth of Gen Z not only of Tamil Nadu but also of other neighboring states. It is also a fact that he attained his present status because of the support given by the Top most BJP high command.
It is true that there was a disagreement between Annamalai and the BJP high command with regard to their approach to implement the strategy regarding alliances to be made with other like-minded parties to face the electorate of Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately, the BJP High command miscalculated their strategy and favored their alliance with the AIADMK overlooking the fact that both the Dravidian parties, DMK and AIADMK, are the offshoot of the original Dravida Kazhakam founded by the Casteist E. V. Ramasamy Naicker. The disagreement of Annamalai should not be construed as dissent and hence, a subversion. The management of disagreement should be taken as an act of recognising the value of disagreement, discord and differences leading to better understanding of the complicated political ecology prevailing in Tamil Nadu.
Now that the elections are over and the most unexpected results are out, it is time for reconciliation for Annamalai and the BJP Leadership to move forward in a determined way for the realisation of their political objectives and ideology keeping the philosophy of NATION FIRST. What ever happened in the past is the guide to the future to make it worth living and to live comfortably in the present moment since the present moment is the reality. “The art of life is to live in the present moment.” The past is behind and learn from it. The future is ahead and prepare for it and the present is here and live and work unitedly in it to achieve the objectives in future.
It is said that magnanimity is the hall mark of greatness. May the BJP high command leadership and Mr. Annamalai show their magnanimity by removing their misunderstandings and work unitedly and in unison to achieve their laudable musing of Bharath first and ultimately to accomplish their political objective of capturing the impregnable Tami Nadu and pave the way for conquering the south. MAY GOOD SENSE PREVAIL AND FUTURE MADE POSSIBLE.
