Many people have an uncaring and casual attitude on life. Either, they are easy-going type or ignorant of their duties. Some people don’t believe in hard-work and perseverance. Instead, they prefer idleness and lethargy to suit their lifestyles and comfort. My friend makes all the hustles in the eleventh hour of his trip though he has prior knowledge of his travel program. One person on the bus was seriously trimming his hand nails unmindful of what happened around him. It seemed that he was too busy to maintain the nails except the free time during the bus journey.
The majority of people live nonchalantly, but caring for things that make them temporarily happy. Especially, youth are prone to this problem as they always hate and ignore the elders’ advice like ‘Drive slowly and avoid mishaps’, ‘Think and Act’, ‘Save for the Future’, etc.. An elderly friend of mine has the habit of carrying the cosmetics for his make up during a tour. In times of a minor illness like a cold or headache, he will seek the aid of the attendants at the hotel that he stays in. If no medicine or assistance is available, he will start abusing the hotel staff and complain about the poor amenities. He would even pretend to check out. If the basic medicines are kept with him, the above situation will never arise.
Casualness only leads to accidents and casualties in our life. ‘Know Safety No Pain. No Safety Know Pain.’ This is what I found written on a huge crane operating at the site of a Metro Rail project. The two different words ‘Know’ and ‘No’ make an interesting pronunciation in this slogan. Indeed, a punch line to highlight the value of safety and avoid the casual attitude of the people working on the site.
Blaming-other is the usual tactic employed by anybody to escape from the mistakes arising from such casualness. The unconcerned approach leads to chaos and damages affecting all others. Such people tend to repent only when grave mistakes are done. A driver used to talk non-stop while driving the truck. One day this casual habit costed a pedestrian’s life. He lost his only job and the license as well.
Life is rare, Live with care. Another beautiful maxim displayed on a residential construction site for cautioning the workers about safety measures and averting any mishaps due to negligence. Appreciate the priceless life and help others also enjoy it. This is possible only when waywardness is shunned. A shrewd person will open the umbrella before the rain pours intensely. Make life a mission, but not an intermission. That doesn’t mean a person should be over cautious or worried forever. Stay cool and proactive always.
