The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) released the September 2024 results for the Chartered Accountants Intermediate and Foundation examinations. In the Intermediate exams, 139,646 candidates appeared across 459 centers. Group I had a 15.17% pass rate with 10,505 of 69,227 candidates passing, while Group II saw a 15.99% pass rate, with 8,117 of 50,760 candidates passing. For candidates attempting both groups, the pass rate was 5.66%. The top three Intermediate rank holders were Parami Umesh Parekh from Mumbai (484 marks, 80.67%), Tanya Gupta from Chennai (459 marks, 76.50%), and Vidhi Jain from New Delhi (441 marks, 73.50%).
In the Foundation exam, 78,209 candidates registered across 453 centers, with an overall pass rate of 19.67%. Male candidates had a pass rate of 20.47% (7,732 of 37,774), while female candidates achieved an 18.76% pass rate (6,126 of 32,663). ICAI President CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal congratulated the successful candidates, acknowledging their hard work and encouraging them to continue upholding integrity in the field of accounting.
