The family of the late G Chandrasekaran, a long-time Doha resident, has instituted an endowment fund under the management of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The G Chandrasekaran Memorial Endowment Fund will finance the foundation course of ICAI curriculum for an economically backward student from India and chosen by ICAI.
The contribution for the endowment fund was handed over by Chandrasekharan’ s elder of two daughters Aiyeshwariya Ashok to ICAI vice president G Ramaswamy in the presence of ICAI Doha chapter chairman Kurian Kuriakose.
Chandrasekaran, who has worked with Whinny Murray (E&Y) and later with Qatar Jet Fuel, was one of the founder members and past presidents of ICAI Doha chapter, the first overseas chapter of the ICAI.
“He believed in extending all sorts of help possible through kind words, emotional supports, and financial support and touched many lives,” remembered his wife Dr Malini Chandrasekaran.
