In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraphs 2.1, 2.4 and 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, the Director General of Foreign Trade makes the following amendment in Public Notice No. 90 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 dated 6.1.2012.
Policy Circular No. 47 (RE 2010)/2009-2014 dated 08.11.2011 laid down the procedure to file the DEPB applications for ‘Free Shipping Bills” for exports of ‘Cotton Yarn including Melange Yarn’ and ‘Cotton’. Representations have been received from trade and industry with regard to exports made under the “EPCG Shipping Bills” for “Cotton yarn including Melange yarn” from 01.04.2011 to 04.08.2011 and ‘Cotton’ from 01.10.2010 to 04.08.2011. In such cases appropriate code for DEPB and EPCG could not be given as during the period DEPB was not available. For the making applications of DEPB in such cases, the following procedure is laid down:-
Notification No 94 (RE – 2010)/2009-2014 In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government makes the following amendment in Notification No 86(RE – 2010)/2009-2014 dated 28.11.2011 read with Notification No 75(RE – 2010)/2009-2014 dated 20.09.2011 immediate effect.
Public Notice No. 90 (RE-2010)/2009-2014 8,300 MTs of white sugar is permitted to be exported to USA under TRQ by M/s. Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Ltd.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby allocates a total quantity of 10,000 MTs (Ten thousand metric tonnes) of white Sugar for export of CXL Concessions Sugar to European Union (EU) for the period October, 2011 to September, 2012.
As per the extant policy provisions enshrined in FTP and SEZ Act, 2005, export permission is required for supply of SOMET items from DTA to SEZ. With this notification, no such permission will be required. However, export permission will continue to be required for export of SCOMET items outside the country both from SEZ and DTA (including EOUs).
Notification No.92(RE-2010) /2009-2014 Supplies to non mega power projects shall henceforth be entitled to benefits for Deemed Exports only under Para 8.3(a) of FTP, viz., Advance Authorisation / Advance Authorisation for annual requirement / DFIA.
Policy Circular No. 51(RE-2010)/2009-14 Through Notification No. 40 (RE-2010)/2009-14 dated 31.03.2011, export of cotton yarn was made “Free” subject to registration of export contracts with DGFT, for ITC(HS) Code 5205, 5206 & 5207. Procedure for registration of contracts of cotton yarn was notified through Policy Circular No. 27 of 01.04.2011. Thereafter, Trade Notice No. 19 dated 30.08.2011 stipulating procedure for imposition of penalty for failure to export cotton yarn in terms of Policy Circular No. 27 was issued.
