The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the deadline for investors of Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. to file their claims. Karvy Stock Broking was declared a defaulter by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on November 23, 2020. Following this, the initial deadline for submitting claims was set for June 2, 2025. Based on the response to a press release issued by SEBI on May 16, 2025, which urged investors to file their claims, the regulator has decided to extend the deadline. Investors now have until December 31, 2025, to lodge their claims. Investors who have not yet submitted their claims are advised to do so before this new deadline. Extension of Deadline for filing claims in the matter of Karvy Stock Broking Limited
Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. was declared defaulter by NSE on November 23, 2020. As per NSE bye-laws, rules and regulations, claims against the default broker were invited from investors and deadline for submitting such investors’ claims was fixed as June 02, 2025.
In this regard, SEBI had issued a press release dated May 16, 2025, urging investors to file their claim before the deadline.
Based on the response received from the investors to the aforesaid press release, it has been decided to extend the deadline till December 31, 2025. Investors are advised to take note of the above deadline and are urged to file their claims before the deadline, if not lodged already.
