In a significant development, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has exercised its authority under section 410 of the Companies Act, 2013, in conjunction with the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021. The notification, dated January 31, 2024, announces the appointment of Technical Members to the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) for a tenure of four years. The appointed Technical Members will serve for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge. The term may end earlier if the member attains the age of sixty-seven years or upon further orders from the Central Government.

New Delhi, the 31st January, 2024.

S.O.395(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 410 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) read with sub-section (2) of section 3 and clause (ii) of section 5 of the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021 (33 of 2021), the Central Government has appointed following persons as Technical Members in the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal for a period of four years from the date of assumption of charge of Technical Member mentioned against his name specified below, or till he attains the age of sixty seven years, or until further order, whichever is earlier, namely:-
