This notification pertains to the export of Non-Basmati White Rice under the HS code 1006 30 90 to several countries, including Nepal, Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivore, Republic of Guinea, Malaysia, Philippines, and Seychelles.

Authorization for Export: The notification cites the powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992, as amended. This action is in accordance with the provisions contained in the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, and specifically under Para 2 (iv) of Notification No. 20/2023 dated July 20, 2023.

Countries and Quantities: The notification explicitly lists the countries to which the export of Non-Basmati White Rice is permitted. These countries include:

  • Nepal: A total quantity of 95,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Cameroon: A total quantity of 190,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Cote d’ Ivore: A total quantity of 142,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Republic of Guinea: A total quantity of 142,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Malaysia: A total quantity of 170,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Philippines: A total quantity of 295,000.00 Metric Tons.
  • Seychelles: A total quantity of 800.00 Metric Tons.

S.O. 4569 (E).— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023 and in accordance with the provision contained in Para 2 (iv) of Notification No. 20/2023 dated July 20, 2023, export of following quantity of Non-Basmati White Rice (under HS code 1006 30 90) to Nepal, Cameroon, Cote d’ Ivore, Republic of Guinea, Malaysia, Philippines and Seychelles is permitted through National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL):-
