Sub: Minutes of Video Conference held on 24th January, 2023 at 3.00 PM & Time Barring date for reopening cases arising out of the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of Shri Ashish Agarwal regarding.

I am directed to forward herewith the minutes of the Video Conference held on 24the January, 2023 chaired by the Chairman, CBDT. In this regard, I am further directed to draw your kind attention to the point mentioned in Para 7.1 of the minutes wherein the Hon’ble Chairman has stated as under:-
…. in respect of reassessment proceedings initiated in pursuant to directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of Shri Ashish Agarwal, several representations were received asking for time–barring date of such cases, in the light of communication sent by ITBA. The Board is of the view that such cases have to be completed by 31.05.2023″.
This may kindly be brought to the notice of the officers working under your administrative control.
