It is indeed heartening to see that realizing the gravity of the situation created by the exponential spread of Carona Virus, you have addressed the nation to remain alive to the danger and have suggested several measures in your address on 19.03.2020.

Among other resolves you have also asked the business community to take a liberal stand towards employees who are unable to fulfill their obligations due to this deadly virus and not deduct their salaries for absence. Sir, we pledge ourselves to abide by your sane advice.

At the same time, we request you to please consider the enormous difficulties faced by the trading community due to Global slowdown and ever increasing tax compliance burden on middle and small business sectors.

We, therefore, request you to please issue an ordinance covering all taxation statues like GST, Customs, Income Tax etc. putting a blanket moratorium on interest and penalties and extending due dates for filing returns audit reports etc. across the board till such time that your government itself announces normalcy.

We also request you to please advise Reserve Bank of India to instruct entire banking sector to give relief to the borrowers by way of interest remissions and deferring due dates of installments.

We are confident like other sections of the public, you will have a soft corner for trading community also and would please grant our request.
