iv. Bookmytrain App on BlackBerry platform.
v. Bookmytrain App on iOS platform.
♠ The customer can book tickets up to five days prior to commencement of journey.
Introduction of the scheme for facilitating the passengers and its proliferation based on feedback is a continuous and ongoing process.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Manoj Sinha in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today. (Source-PIB)
Sir upto 5 days prior means we can book tickets even 10 days prior or 60 days or 120 days.
IT IS UPTO 5 DAYS . IT NEVER SAYS 5 DAYS IN ADVANCE.
The scheme does not work because it provides for booking 5 days in advance of the date of journey. As per the present practice the reservation in general quota are filled faster before the 5 days stipulated period. The commuters cannot book under TATKAL because it opens just 1 day before the date of journey. Then how can a traveler book a ticket under COD scheme?
