There is, at present, no proposal to make Aadhaar seeding mandatory for release of pension to the Central Government pensioners.

Eighty-seven percent of Central Government pensioners of all age categories have seeded their bank accounts with Aadhaar number. The remaining thirteen percent, including those Government pensioners of the age of 80 and 90 years have not yet seeded their bank accounts with Aadhaar number. The Government has made efforts to seed accounts of all Central Government pensioners with Aadhaar numbers so as to enable them to benefit from the additional facility of submission of Digital Life Certificate. Public Sector Banks are authorised to enroll pensioners for issue of Aadhaar number, including old and infirm pensioners.

This was stated by the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in written reply to a question by Shri Natubhai Gomanbhai Patel in the Lok Sabha today.

Unforntunatey, UIDAI permits seeding of the latest instance to over ride the previous one. There ought to be a difference between linking, seeding, Multiple seeding, if needed, is to be provided for.
For example, my brother-in-law, now at Mumbai had seeded his SB A/c with Canara Bank near his home for Gas Subsidy; he draws pension throu SBI, Chennai where he was last posted. When he seeded Aadhar for pension, the seeding for Gas vanished. No amount of writing to UIDAI or any authorities has resulted in any tangible result.

I am a PENSIONER. I am AADHAAR CARD holder. I am living in VADODARA(GUJARAT). I sent a message tp AADHAAR Card authority (077 38 299899) to intimate the address of JEEVAN PARMAN CENTRE of VADODARA on 02.11.2016 to obtain DIGITAL LIFE CERTIFICATE I have no response so far.Secondly, AADHAAR seeding is not possible without getting OTP from AADHAAR CARD authority. Your report indicating “87% of CG Pensioner of all ages have seeded their Bank Account” is encouraging but not entirely believable as Jeevan Praman Centres are not established in many towns. There is quite a substantial number of the pensioner who desires to receive AADHAAR benefits but the implementing authority has denied this benefit. Could you bring this aspect of the grievance of a Pensioner to the appropriate authority and help? VADODARA, the constituency of OUR PRIME MINISTER without an AADHAAR office. What an irony of fate.
