Public Notice No. 30 (RE-2003)/2002-2007, dated 23.10.2003, issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, amends the procedures for importing certain items under the India-Nepal Treaty of Trade signed on 02.03.2002. The notice modifies Public Notice No. 9/2002-07 (30.04.2002) and Public Notice No. 12/2002-07 (06.06.2003), particularly by deleting Paragraph 2 of Public Notice No. 9/2002-07. It designates the State Trading Corporation (STC) as the sole agency responsible for importing vegetable fats (Vanaspati) within an annual quota. The other conditions outlined in Public Notice No. 9/2002-07 remain unchanged. The amendments aim to streamline the import process under the bilateral trade agreement between India and Nepal.
