NOTIFICATION NO.33 (RE-99) 1997-2002

NEW DELHI, 19th November, 1999

S.O (E) – In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby allows import of Pharmaceuticals, Drugs, Textiles and other articles, meant to be supplied for the relief and rehabilitation purpose of the cyclone victims in Orissa, ‘Freely’, subject to the conditions specified in Department of Revenue circular No.460/94/99-CUS V dated 5.11.99. However, the items, import of which is ‘Prohibited’ as per the book titled, ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items shall not be allowed to be imported.

This issues in Public Interest.
