Torrent Power Limited, a prominent player in India’s energy sector, announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ending 30th September 2026. The company reported a significant increase in its revenue from operations, amounting to ₹9,801 crore for Q2 FY 2026-27, marking a 24% rise compared to ₹7,876 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the first half of FY 2026-27, the revenue stood at ₹17,926 crore, up by 14% from ₹15,782 crore in H1 FY 2025-26.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) also saw substantial growth, reaching ₹1,988 crore in Q2 FY 2026-27, a 26% increase from ₹1,584 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The half-year EBITDA rose to ₹3,606 crore, reflecting a 14% increase from ₹3,171 crore in H1 FY 2025-26. Torrent Power’s total comprehensive income (TCI) for the quarter was ₹835 crore, up 14% from ₹730 crore in Q2 FY 2025-26, while the half-year TCI remained relatively stable at ₹1,474 crore compared to ₹1,469 crore in the previous year.

The robust financial performance was largely driven by improved operational efficiency across the company’s distribution and renewable energy sectors. The consolidation of Nabha Acquisition also contributed to the adjusted EBITDA growth of 29% during the quarter. The company recognised a principal recovery of ₹54 crore related to the Nabha acquisition, in accordance with applicable lease accounting principles. However, higher finance costs due to increased borrowings slightly offset these gains.

Torrent Power, part of the ₹50,000 crore Torrent Group, is a leading integrated power utility in India with a diverse portfolio spanning generation, transmission, and distribution. The company boasts an installed generation capacity of 6.8 GWp, with ongoing projects expected to increase this capacity significantly. As a major player in India’s energy transition, Torrent Power continues to expand its renewable energy footprint while maintaining a strong presence in the distribution sector, serving approximately 4.29 million customers across multiple states. Analysts view Torrent Power’s consistent growth and strategic expansions as reinforcing its position in the competitive Indian power market.
