Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced its highest-ever total monthly sales figures, achieving a remarkable milestone in October 2026. The company reported sales of 82,299 units, encompassing both domestic and export markets, which marks a significant 17.7% year-on-year increase. This achievement underscores Hyundai’s robust performance in the Indian automotive sector, driven by strong demand and strategic market positioning.
Domestic sales reached a record high of 62,799 units, reflecting a 16.7% growth compared to the same period last year. The Hyundai VENUE model notably contributed to this success, recording its highest-ever domestic monthly sales with 13,017 units sold. Additionally, the company’s exports saw a substantial rise, with 19,500 units shipped overseas, representing a 21.1% year-on-year growth. This impressive export performance highlights Hyundai’s expanding footprint in international markets and its role as a significant export hub.
Mr. Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of HMIL, expressed his satisfaction with the company’s performance, attributing the success to strong festive demand and sustained momentum in both domestic and export markets. He highlighted the introduction of the newly launched Hyundai BAYON, an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, as a key driver for future growth. The BAYON is expected to bolster Hyundai’s presence in India and over 50 export markets, further solidifying the country’s strategic importance in Hyundai’s global operations.
Analysts note that Hyundai’s record-breaking sales figures are indicative of the company’s effective market strategies and product offerings that resonate well with consumers. The automotive sector’s recovery, coupled with festive season demand, has provided a conducive environment for growth.
