Muthoot Finance Limited has reported robust financial results for the half-year ending 30 September 2026, with a significant 42% year-on-year increase in its consolidated Loan Assets Under Management (AUM), reaching ₹2,09,317 crores. The company’s consolidated profit after tax also saw a substantial rise, increasing by 39% YoY to ₹6,103 crores, driven by strong performance in its core gold loan business.
The standalone Loan AUM for Muthoot Finance reached ₹1,87,810 crores, marking a 42% YoY growth, while the standalone profit after tax increased by 26% YoY to ₹5,527 crores. The number of active customers rose from 64 lakhs to 69 lakhs during the half-year, reflecting the company’s expanding customer base.
In addition to its core operations, Muthoot Finance’s subsidiaries have shown impressive performance. Muthoot Homefin (India) Ltd and Asia Asset Finance PLC in Sri Lanka also demonstrated positive growth in their loan AUM and profits.
The company has made strategic moves to enhance its operational efficiency, including the planned merger of its wholly-owned subsidiary Muthoot Money Limited into Muthoot Finance Limited, effective from 1 April 2027, subject to regulatory approvals. This consolidation aims to simplify the group structure and unlock operational and financial efficiencies.
Analysts note that Muthoot Finance’s strong performance is indicative of the growing demand for secured credit in India’s gold loan market, which continues to present significant growth opportunities. The company’s extensive branch network and expertise in gold loans position it well to maintain its market leadership and sustain its growth momentum in the coming years.
