Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the Adani Group, has reported its financial results for the quarter ending 30th September 2026, showcasing a resilient performance despite facing seasonal and external adversities. The company, which is the ninth largest cement producer globally, has strengthened its trade and premium product mix, driving an 8.6% year-on-year increase in trade volumes. This strategic focus has resulted in an increase in trade share by 6 percentage points to 74% year-on-year, with premium products rising by 2 percentage points to constitute 37% of trade sales.
For the quarter, Ambuja Cements recorded a revenue from operations of INR 9,197 crore, with an Operating EBITDA of INR 1,271 crore, representing an EBITDA margin of 13.8%. The cement sales volume stood at 16.5 million tonnes. The company also commissioned 4.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of new capacity in Q2, with further expansions expected in the second half of the fiscal year. The ongoing ramp-up of new capacities, along with a focus on energy efficiency and logistics optimisation, is anticipated to bolster performance in the upcoming quarters.
The company has also made significant strides towards its “One Cement Platform” initiative, with shareholders approving the proposed amalgamations of ACC Limited and Orient Cement Limited with Ambuja Cements. This merger, which awaits further regulatory approvals, is expected to simplify the corporate structure and unlock operational synergies, enhancing long-term stakeholder value.
Despite the challenges posed by geopolitical tensions and rising energy costs, Ambuja Cements remains optimistic about the future. The company has maintained a debt-free balance sheet and continues to focus on quality growth, operational efficiency, and disciplined capital deployment. Analysts note that the cement industry anticipates further pricing improvements in the coming months, which could positively impact Ambuja’s profitability. With its strategic initiatives and robust operational framework, Ambuja Cements is well-positioned to navigate the current market conditions and deliver sustainable growth.
