The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued Public Notice No. 23/2026-27-DGFT dated 3 August 2026 under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023, notifying seven new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under Product Group ‘A’ (Chemical and Allied Products) with SION Nos. A-3708 to A-3714. The notified entries cover Theophylline (Anhydrous), A-PLAOBES 6 mg./ml. Pen Liraglutide Injection, Lumefantrine, Meropenem 500 mg, Meropenem 1000 mg, Meropenem 2 gm Powder for Solution for Injection or Infusion, and Ophthalmic Solution (Eyes & Ear Drops), along with the corresponding import items and permissible quantities, including Cyano Acetic Acid 70%, Liraglutide, 9H Fluorene, Di N Butylamine, Sodium Borohydride, Para Chloro Benzaldehyde, Di Methyl Formamide, Meropenem and Sodium Carbonate (Sterile Bulk), and relevant bulk drug/s. The notice also specifies that the content of bulk drug shall be as per the Drug Manufacturing Licence (DML). According to the stated effect of the Public Notice, the new SIONs will enable Regional Authorities to grant Advance Authorisations directly in eligible cases without referring individual applications to the Norms Committee, thereby reducing processing time and ensuring uniformity in fixation of norms.

In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the seven new SIONs with Serial Number No. A-3708, A-3709, A-3710, A-3711, A-3712, A-3713 & A-3714. Effect of the Public Notice: Seven new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) under Product Group ‘A’ (Chemical and Allied Products) arc being notified. This will enable Regional Authorities to grant Advance Authorisations directly in eligible cases without referring individual applications to the Norms Committee, thereby reducing processing time and ensuring uniformity in fixation of norms.
