Once the integration is completed, users should log in to the ICEGATE Portal, navigate to Profile Status → Complete Your Profile → Personal Details → Update Email & Mobile, update the required email ID or mobile number, verify the OTP, and submit the request. The update becomes effective after a further 24 hours. The update also provides the navigation paths for the GST Portal, GSTIN integration, and ICEGATE Portal to complete the process.
Issue
If you are facing an issue related to your ICEGATE ID due to incorrect or outdated email ID or mobile number, you must first update the contact details in the GST Portal, re-integrate the GSTIN with Customs, and then update the contact details in the ICEGATE Portal.
The complete process is explained below.
Before updating your details in ICEGATE, ensure that the correct email ID and mobile number are available in your GST Registration.
Procedure
1. Log in to the GST Portal (www.gst.gov.in).
2. Navigate to Services → Registration.
3. Click Amendment of Registration Core Fields.
4. Click Save & Continue.
5. Click Continue.
6. Edit the required Email ID and/or Mobile Number.
7. Enter the Reason for Amendment and Date of Amendment.
8. Click Save.
9. Click Yes to confirm.
10. Click Save & Continue until you reach the verification page.
11. Tick the declaration checkbox.
12. Select the Authorized Signatory and Place.
13. Click Submit with EVC.
14. Validate the OTP received on the registered contact details.
Important: After successfully updating the contact details on the GST Portal, wait 24 hours for the changes to be reflected in the GSTN database.
Once 24 hours have elapsed after updating the GST Portal, integrate your GSTIN with Customs.
Procedure
1. Visit the ICEGATE GSTIN Integration page.
2. Enter your GSTIN.
3. Enter the Captcha.
4. Click Submit.
Alternatively, navigate through:
ICEGATE Portal → Services → Registration → Integrating GSTIN
Note: After successful GSTIN integration, wait another 24 hours for the integration to synchronize with the Customs system.
Step 3: Update Contact Details on the ICEGATE Portal
After the GSTIN integration has been completed and 24 hours have passed, update your contact details on ICEGATE.
Procedure
1. sLog in to the ICEGATE Portal.
2. Click Profile Status.
3. Select Complete Your Profile.
4. Open the Personal Details tab.
5. Click Update Email & Mobile (available at the bottom-right corner of the Personal Details page).
6. Update the required Email ID and/or Mobile Number.
7. Verify the OTP.
8. Submit the request.
Important: After updating the contact details in ICEGATE, allow 24 hours for the changes to become effective.
