The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the launch of a fully integrated Peer Review Board (PRB) Web Portal as part of its digital transformation initiative, effective from 2nd July 2026. The new portal automates and digitizes the entire peer review lifecycle, including submission of Form 1 applications, allotment of peer reviewers, submission of peer review reports, and issuance of Peer Review Certificates. From the effective date, all new peer review applications must be submitted exclusively through the PRB Web Portal, and applications sent through physical documents, email, or any other mode will no longer be accepted. Both Practice Units and Peer Reviewers are required to use the portal for initiating new peer review applications and submitting review reports. ICAI has urged all members and Practice Units to take note of this significant development and use the portal exclusively for all future peer review compliance, thereby ensuring a streamlined, transparent, and efficient digital peer review process.

Launch of PRB Web Portal for the Peer Review Process
In a major step toward digital transformation, the Peer Review Board (PRB) of ICAI has developed its fully integrated Web Portal. The portal completely automates, streamlines and digitizes the entire peer review lifecycle, beginning with the submission of applications, allotment of panel of peer reviewers and submission of peer review reports to the ultimate generation of the Peer Review certificates.
With effect from 2nd July, 2026, the peer review process for all new applications (Form 1) shall be processed exclusively through the new PRB Web Portal. Accordingly, applications received in any other mode including physical documents or via email will not be accepted or entertained from the effective date onward.
Both Practice Units and Reviewers are requested to kindly log in to the portal to initiate any new peer review applications (Form 1) or for the submission of the peer review reports. The URL for accessing the portal is https://prb.icai.org/
Members and Practice Units are requested to take note of this major development and exclusively use the web portal for all future peer review compliance requirements.
