FSSAI Updates Analyst List as Multiple Entries Added and Earlier Entries Omitted

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India issued a notification dated April 2, 2026, amending its earlier notification of July 2, 2021, under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. The amendment involves modifications to the list of notified food analysts and laboratories. Specifically, serial numbers 102, 125, 246, 258, 264, and 265 have been omitted from the existing table. Additionally, new entries numbered 294 to 352 have been inserted, introducing multiple food analysts along with their associated laboratories across various locations in India, including Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, and others. These additions include personnel from institutions such as private laboratories, national food laboratories, research centres, and analytical service providers. The notification reflects an update to the recognized pool of food analysts and testing facilities under the regulatory framework. The amendment forms part of ongoing revisions, with the last update having been issued on September 15, 2025.

No. 12015/05/2021-QA.–– In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section 5 of section 10 read with section 45 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following amendments in the notification number F.No. 12015/05/2021-QA published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4, dated 2^nd July, 2021, namely: –

In the table,

1. Serial number 102, 125, 246, 258, 264 and 265 shall be omitted;

2. After serial number 293, the following entries shall be inserted in respective columns, namely: –
