The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), through Public Notice No. 52/2025-26 dated 20 March 2026, amended the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-2005 under the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. The amendment revises the description of the export product from “Phenoxyethanol (Preservative Grade)” to “Phenoxyethanol” and updates the permissible quantity of Ethylene Oxide from 0.325 kg to 0.323 kg per kg of export product, while retaining the quantity of Phenol at 0.690 kg. These changes take immediate effect and aim to rationalize input-output norms for export manufacturing. The notification ensures better alignment with actual consumption standards, promoting accuracy in import allowances and facilitating compliance for exporters operating under SION norms.

Subject: Amendments in Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-2005.
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade makes the following amendments in the description of Export Product and quantity of Import Item at SI. No. 2 in Standard Input Output Norms (SION) A-2005:-
