CA Intermediate & Foundation Results Jan 2026 Declared: Low Pass Percentage and All India Toppers Revealed

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results of the CA Intermediate and CA Foundation examinations conducted in January 2026. In the CA Intermediate examination, a total of 1,39,876 candidates appeared across 576 centres in India and abroad. The pass percentage remained relatively low, reflecting the rigorous standards of the examination. In Group I, 14,733 out of 1,05,526 candidates passed, resulting in a pass rate of 13.96%. For Group II, 10,798 out of 69,477 candidates cleared the exam, achieving a pass percentage of 15.54%. Only 3,924 candidates out of 41,798 successfully cleared both groups simultaneously, with a pass percentage of 9.39%. Kanhiya Lal from Ellenabad secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Intermediate examination with 508 marks out of 600 (84.67%), followed by Fathima Shehza K from Perintalmanna with 504 marks (84.00%) and Vanya Bansal from Faridabad with 498 marks (83.00%).

For the CA Foundation examination, 1,09,694 candidates appeared across 566 centres. A total of 21,099 candidates passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 19.23%. Male candidates recorded a slightly higher pass rate of 20.13% (11,523 out of 57,238), while female candidates achieved a pass percentage of 18.26% (9,576 out of 52,456). Logapriya P.P. from Madurai secured the All India first rank with 366 out of 400 marks (91.50%). Khushi Sikaria from Midnapore secured the second rank with 365 marks (91.25%). The third rank was jointly secured by Hiba P from Kannur, Suman Karki from Kathmandu, and Raghav Naresh Gupta from Surat, each scoring 361 marks (90.25%). ICAI President CA. Prasanna Kumar D congratulated the successful candidates and emphasized that becoming a Chartered Accountant requires integrity, dedication, and a commitment to strengthening governance and contributing to nation building. The result and the details of marks of CA Intermediate & Foundation Examination have been hosted on the website www.icai.nic.in. To access the result, the candidate shall have to enter his/her registration number along with his/her roll number.
