S.O. (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints officer mentioned in column 5 of the Table below to exercise the powers and discharge duties conferred or imposed on officers mentioned
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Amendment Regulations, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Notification No. 11/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) -Tariff value Notification in respect of Fixation of tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Poppy Seeds, Areca Nut, Gold and Sliver
Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby invests in the officers specified in column (1) of the Table below, the powers of the Customs Officer of the rank specified in column (2) of the said Table,
Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby determines rate of exchange of conversion of each of foreign currencies with effect from 03rd February, 2017.
Provided that the period specified in this sub-rule may, on sufficient cause being shown and reasons to be recorded in writing, be extended by an authority next higher than the authority before whom the application for remission of duty is pending, for a further period not exceeding six months.
