It has now been decided to extend the last date of filing and to relax the additional fee applicable on e-form 23C up to 31′ October, 2013 and as such the e-form 23C can be filed for appointment of cost auditor with normal applicable fee, up to 31St October, 2013 or within 90 days of the commencement of the company’s financial year to which the appointment relates, whichever is later.

CMA Suresh Chandra Mohanty, President of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, congratulated the Honourable Union Minister of Corporate Affairs Shri Sachin Pilot ji, for passing the landmark Companies Bill 2013 in Rajya Sabha thus completing a great saga in modernizing the Corporate Legislation, which has been facing ups and downs for more than a decade.
I am happy to inform that our Council has approved the constitution of the National Advisory Board consisting of eminent persons from industry and other sectors to provide insight and formulate strategies and policies of the Institute to fit in with the emerging economic environment and provide leadership in the field of Cost and Management Accounting. Their valuable guidance would enable the Institute to lay down the way forward and achieve the desired objectives.
At the outset on behalf of the Institute, its employees, members, students and that of my own, I convey my heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Uttarakhand for the tragic loss of life and destructions of property caused by the devastating Cloudburst that hit the holy state last month.
