The proposed GST Grievance Redressal Committee is to consist of the Chief Commissioner of Central Tax (Co-chair), Commissioner of State Tax (Co-chair), Representatives of Trade Associations upto 12 nos., Representatives of prominent Associations of Tax professionals upto 4 nos., Central and State Nodal officers of ITGRC (IT Grievance Redressal Cell), Representatives of GSTN assigned to the State, Additional Joint Commissioner – Central and State (Secretaries of GRC) and Any other member with the permission of the Co-chairs.
All individuals or registered firms carrying any consignment of goods valued below Rupees fifty thousand without valid e-waybill declaration, shall/is liable to submit a copy of purchase invoice/bill of supply at respective validation centre of the State. The purchase invoice/bill of supply in question shall cover all purchase whether for private or public/Government use or for the purposes of business in Sikkim.
Law has cast liability on the taxpayer to assess and pay the interest on delayed payment of tax. Further, interest payable on such delayed payment of tax can be recovered under the provisions of section 79 of the CGST Act read with section 75(12), which provides for various methods by which the proper officer shall proceed to recover any amount which is payable to the Government.
