The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has assigned Lead Bank responsibilities for two newly formed districts in Arunachal Pradesh: Keyi Panyor and Bichom. This decision, announced on July 18, 2025, follows the Government of Arunachal Pradesh’s notification of these new districts on February 23, 2024. State Bank of India (SBI) has been designated as the Lead Bank for both Keyi Panyor (assigned district working code 02S) and Bichom (assigned district working code 02T). This ensures that these new administrative units have a dedicated bank to coordinate various banking and development activities, as per the Lead Bank Scheme. The RBI has confirmed that there are no changes to the Lead Banks in the other existing districts within Arunachal Pradesh.
