In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government hereby notifies the following temples to be places of historical importance and of public worship of renown throughout the States of Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan respectively for the purposes of the said section :
(i) Sitaramji Temple Situated at Sitaram Baug, (ii) Varadaraj Temple Hyderabad, (iii) Hanuman Temple Andhra Pradesh. (iv) Mahadev Temple (v) Shri Ranganath Temple, Pushkar
The approval is subject to the condition that the temple will maintain separate books of account for this purpose and that the donations received will be utilised exclusively for the renovation of the temple.
