Sub: – Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, 2016 – Regarding.
Kindly refer to this office letters dated 19,10.2016 on the above mentioned subject. As already informed, this year Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from 31″ October to 5th November, 2016. The theme for the Week is “Public participation in promoting Integrity and eradicating Corruption.” The CVC has exhorted all Ministries/Departments / Organisations to encourage their customers/public and corporates /entities/ firms etc. to take Integrity Pledge.
2. In this connection, CVC has also asked all Ministries/Departments/Organizations to provide a hyperlink to the Integrity Pledges on their respective websites to enable wider participation. A hyperlink “Take Integrity Pledge” has been provided in the Departmental website “incometaxindia.gov.in” under the heading “Important Links”. On hitting the link ‘take Integrity Pledge”, it would take the subscriber to the website of the CVC i.e. “pledge.cvc.nic.in“. I am directed to request you to ask all the officers and staff members to visit Departmental website “incometaxindia.gov.in” and use the hyperlink for taking Citizens Integrity Pledge. Citizens taking the Integrity Pledge would be provided a certificate acknowledging and appreciating the commitment to the cause of anti-corruption. A report on number of officers/staff members in your Region having taken the Citizens Integrity Pledge may kindly be intimated to this office by 4 P.M. of 7th November, 2016 for further intimating to the CVC.
