Continuing their round of ‘survey’ of the offices of all IPL teams, the income tax authorities on Thursday visited the Sahara Group’s offices in Lucknow and Mumbai, the offices of GMR in Delhi and those of Red Chillies in Mumbai, owned by cine star Shahrukh Khan who has a major stake in the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team.

On Wednesday, local I-T authorities had visited KKR’s office in Kolkata, Chennai Super Kings in Chennai and Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad.

An I-T official said the department visited Shah Rukh Khan owned Red Chillies in Mumbai to get some papers related to auction of cricketers for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which they did not find during Wednesday’s survey.

The authorities would also check the income and expenditure details of KKR in the last three years.

In Lucknow, a 12 member IT team visited the Sahara premises at around 2 pm and stayed for several hours.

In New Delhi another team reached the GMR offices and surveyed them till late evening.

The embattled Lalit Modi in the meantime sought and obtained an audience with Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani, owner of the Mumbai Indians team.  No details of their discussions were available.
