HIGH COURT OF MADHYA PRADESH : JABALPUR
MEMO No. 649/2017  Dated 27 April, 2017
 III-2-9/40 Pt.-I (F.No.-9)

To,

The District & Sessions Judge,

During the assessment of judgments of Judicial Officers, it is noticed that many Judicial Officers have reproduced the Head Note/Placitum from the relevant Journals relating to High Court/ Supreme Court judgments. Needless to mention that the Head Note is a creation of the Edition Board. Head Note, in a given case, may not reflect the correct position and, therefore, in the fitness of things, it is observed that if the Judicial Officers intend to rely or reproduce a High Court or Supreme Court judgment, it is better to reproduce the actual paragraph of the judgment or its substance in their own language.

I am, therefore, directed to request you to please circulate a copy of this communication amongst the Judicial Officers posted in your District for information and compliance.

REGISTRAR GENERAL
