INVITING SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW INCOME TAX BUSINESS APPLICATION
1. As you are aware ITD has undertaken the task of developing new Income-Tax Business Application with the help of M/S TCS who were onboarded as service provider w.e.f. 9th may 2013. We are in the process of finalizing SRS (Software Requirement Specifications) for various modules/processes which in turn will be used as reference documents for writing the entire application.
2. Broad scope of the project includes.
a. Re-writing of New ITD applications
b. Writing of Software for all processes (Including core functions) of Deptt.
c. Maintenance of old application till development of new application.
d. Migration of old data to new application
e. Development of Interface with UTI/NSDL/CPC Bengaluru/CPC TDS/ Refund Banker
f. Development of Data Centre for the application.
g. Development of Technology training Centre.
h. Development of test environment for old and new application.
i. Training of 20,000 employees.
j. Development of HRMS module.
3. Besides re-writing the entire existing application in new architecture and technology, it endeavours to include the creation of new functionalities for most of the areas of department. These are as under:-
