The International Financial Services Centres Authority has notified the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Book-keeping, Accounting, Taxation and Financial Crime Compliance Services) (Amendment) Regulations, 2026, dated January 5, 2026, in exercise of powers under Sections 28 and 12 of the IFSCA Act, 2019. The amendment makes a limited but significant change to the 2024 regulations governing service providers offering book-keeping, accounting, taxation, and financial crime compliance services in International Financial Services Centres. Specifically, Regulation 12 of the principal regulations stands omitted in its entirety. Consequentially, the reference to “regulation 12” appearing in item number 5 of the Second Schedule is also removed, leaving only regulation 11 applicable for that item. The amended regulations come into force from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The notification clarifies the regulatory framework by deleting an existing compliance provision and aligning the Second Schedule accordingly, thereby streamlining the applicable regulatory obligations for service providers operating under the IFSCA regime.
