NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th September, 2017
G.S.R. 1234 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 12 of the Government Savings Certificate Act, 1959 ( 46 of 1959) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Savings Certificates Rules, 1960, namely: –
1. (1) These rules may be called the Post Office Savings Certificates (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Post Office Savings Certificates Rules, 1960, in rule 2, after clause (iv), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:
(iva) “Cooperative bank” means a State co-operative bank, a Central co-operative bank and a primary cooperative bank;
