This notification changes title of “Advanced Technology Vessels Programme” to ATVP in Notification No. 64/95-Central Excise

NOTIFICATION No. 46/2000 – CENTRAL EXCISE

 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), read with sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957) the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 64/95-Central Excise, dated the 16th March,1995, namely:-

 In the Table annexed to the said notification, against serial number 19, in column (3),-

(a)    in condition (i), for the words, brackets and letters “Advanced Technology Vessels Programme (ATVP)”, the letters “ATVP” shall be substituted; and

(b)    in condition (ii), for the words, letters and brackets “Programme Director ATVP ( of the rank of a Vice Admiral or an Additional Secretary to the Government of India)”, the words, letters and brackets “Project Director or Director of the ATV Programme (of the rank of a Rear Admiral of the Indian Navy or of equivalent rank of the Joint Secretary to the Government of India)” shall be substituted.
