Subject: CVC”s advice for need to change the system of approving of Price Lists – Regarding

I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of reference dated 2.12.94 received from the Directorate of Vigilance of the above mentioned subject.

2. In above connection, Member (Central Excise) has observed as under:

“Suggestions merit consideration irrespective of the fact that Price Lists have been bone done away with. Now that invoices from the basis of assessment, there is greater need for building data, monitoring price movements and occasionally verifying sale prices”.

3. It is, therefore, requested that necessary action may please be taken in the light of above.
