The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has issued Public Notice No. 34/2024-25 on December 17, 2024, to announce the fixation of a new Standard Input Output Norm (SION) for the export product Propionic Anhydride under the Chemical and Allied Product category (Product Code A). The new SION (Serial Number A-3683) specifies the import requirements for Propionic Anhydride. To export 1 kg of Propionic Anhydride, 1.15 kg of Propionic Acid and 0.500 kg of Acetic Acid Glacial are allowed as inputs. This notification updates the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 and provides clarity on the import and export regulations for the chemical product.

Subject: Fixation of one new Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs) at SION A-3683 under ‘Chemical and Allied Product’ (Product Code `A’).
F. No. 01/82/0016/AM-25/DES-III- In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy-2023 as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies new SION with Serial Number A-3683. This new entry shall be as under:
