PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 50 (RE- 02)/ 2002-2007

NEW DELHI : DATED : 29/11/2002.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended.

3. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended, following amendment shall be made:-

The norm covered by this entry shall be substituted by the following:-

E52 White Sugar 1 MT 1. Raw Sugar 1.05 MT
Note : 1. Content of sucrose by weight, in dry state, in raw sugar must correspond to a polarimeter reading of less than 99.5% but not less than 98.5%.

Note : 2. Export of White Sugar shall be permitted only after import of Raw Sugar.

4. For other cases not covered under polarimeter range of 98.5% to 99.5% as above, exporters may file applicationsunder para 4.7 of the Exim Policy.

5. This issues in public interest.
