Subject: Placement of quantity of 10,500 MTs. of raw sugar from the Freesale quota of 1998-99 season (Oct. to Sept.) for export Of preferential raw sugar quota ( 1999 – 2000 ) to EEC.
Attention is invited to the entry at Sl. No. 25 of Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002”.
1. It has been decided to allocate a quantity of 10,500 MTs ( Ten thousand five hundred MTs ) of Free Sale raw sugar out of 1998-99 season’s production for export to EEC as preferential raw sugar quota ( 1999-2000 ) and place the same at the disposal of Agricultural and Processed food Products Export Development Authority ( APEDA) for issuing Registration-cum-allocation Certificate ( RCAC ) to M/S Indian Sugar and General Industry Export Import Corporation Ltd., N. Delhi.
3. The Indian Sugar and General Industry Export Import Corporation Ltd., (ISGIEIC) shall be sole agency authorised to export raw sugar to EEC against the preferential Ceiling as indicated above. The export of above quantity of raw sugar to EEC under the preferential arrangements as indicated above shall also be subject to prescribed pre-shipment certificate by Export Inspection Council.
