The Government of India, via Public Notice No. 36/2004-09 dated December 23, 2004, announced an update to the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 by adding Intertek Group Plc to Appendix 28 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I). Intertek Group Plc, located at 25 Savile Row, London, England, is now recognized as an approved entity under the policy. The addition was made under the powers granted by Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy and is aimed at enhancing the framework for international trade facilitation. This update reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to include reputed entities in its trade ecosystem, ensuring compliance and quality in export-import operations.
