The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued Public Notice No. 32 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, dated 2nd August 2001, which modifies the provisions concerning the export of coarse grains and maize. Specifically, it extends the last date for the shipment of maize and other specified grains until 30th September 2001. This adjustment is made under the powers granted by Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy (1997-2002) and reflects amendments made up to March 2001. Additionally, the notice addresses the remaining balance of 18,571.5 MT of maize reserved for export under the allocation to STC/STCL. This balance is now available for export, with RCACs to be issued by APEDA to STC, STCL, and private exporters. The notice is issued in the public interest to ensure smooth trade operations in line with updated export policies.

NEW DELHI , THE   2nd  August, 2001.

Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 1001(b)  in  Table B of Schedule 2     and Sr. No. 12(ii)  of Appendix –1 to Schedule 2 in the  book titled  “ ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import  Items, 1997-2002 ” (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and  as amended from time to time  specifying the terms and conditions for export of items indicated therein.

2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31st March, 2001) and as amended from time to time, the para-3 of the  the  Public Notice No. 14 ( RE-2001 )/1997-2002 dated  29.5.2001 may be amended to read as follows:-

“The last date of shipment/export of the quantities of  coarse grain/maize  allowed for export   vide the above Public Notices is  extended  upto  30.9.2001. ”

3. Further the balance quota of 18,571.5MT out of the reservedallocations for STC/STCL vide Public Notice No. 61 ( RE-2000)/1997-2002 dt. the 13th March, 2001 shall now be available for issuance of RCACs  by APEDA to STC/STCL/Private exporters.
