Public Notice No. 24 (RE-03)/2002-07, dated 10th September 2003, announces amendments to the “Schedule of DEPB Rates” under the Export and Import Policy 2002-07. The notice includes changes in the engineering and chemicals product categories. Specifically, for engineering products (Product Code 61), the value cap for entry at Sl. No. 573 is revised to Rs. 56 per kg. In the chemicals product category (Product Code 62), a new entry is added at Sl. No. 993 for “3,4 Dichloro Aniline,” with a DEPB rate of 8% and no value cap for DEPB entitlement. These changes aim to update and streamline the DEPB system for relevant products. The notice is issued in public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following addition / correction / amendment in the book titled “ Schedule of DEPB Rates”.
I) Product Group : Engineering Product Code : 61
i) The value cap of entry at Sl.No.573 is revised to Rs.56 per kg.
II) Product Group : Chemicals Product Code : 62
After the existing entry at Sl.No.992, the following new entry is inserted.
