PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 20 (RE-99)/1997-2002

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 6th July 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy,1997-2002,the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002”.

2. The condition No.i) against the entry at S.No.23 of the Schedule 2 Appendix I and condition (a) under the column ‘Nature of Restriction’ against code No.1301 of Table B of the book titled “ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002” relating to export of Shellac and all forms of lac shall be amended to read as under:-

23. Shellac and all forms i) Registration with Tribal Cooperative

of lac Marketing Development Federation

of India Ltd. or Shellac Export

Promotion Council

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy,1997-2002,the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002”.

1. The entries appearing at following Serial Number of Schedule 2 Appendix I of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002” shall be amended as under:-

a. The entry appearing at S.No.17 ( I ) shall be deleted.

b. The entry appearing at S.No. 21shall be amended to read as under:-

21. Samples of goods Export of samples will be governed by the provision of para 4.32 of Hand Book of Procedure.

PUBLIC NOTICE NO. (RE)/1997-2002

NEW DELHI, DATED THE

Attention is invited to the Public Notice No.26/97-2002 dated 14th July,1997, wherein the conditions and procedures to be followed in respect of export of sandalwood in the form of heartwood chips, mixed chips,flakes of the Sandalwood Classes mentioned in Annexure I to the said Public Notice, Sapwood chips/powder and Sandalwood dust obtained as waste after the manufacturing process have been specified.

2 The Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the Public Notice No.26/97-2002 dated 14th July,1997.

“The date of 31st March,1999 appearing in paragraph 8 of Public Notice No.26/1997-2002 dated 14th July,1997 amended vide Public Notice No.64(RE)/1997-2002 dated 31st December,1998 shall be further amended to read as 30th September,1999″.

3. All other conditions of the above mentioned Public Notice shall ,however, remain unchanged.

4. This issues in public interest.
