Notification No. 09 (RE-2006)/2004-2009, issued on June 13, 2006, amends the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. A new provision, Para 3.9.6, is added after Para 3.9.5, specifying that entitlement under the scheme will apply to all shipments exported through Customs EDI-enabled ports. This amendment, part of the updated annual supplement, aims to include Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) shipments for benefits under the policy. The revision is in line with efforts to streamline and modernize export procedures by leveraging technology for smoother customs processing.

S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the annual supplement of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 (Updated as on 07.04.2006):
After the Para 3.9.5, the following para shall be inserted:
“EDI Shipments 3.9.6 The entitlement under the scheme shall be granted to all shipments that are exported through Customs EDI enabled ports.”
