NOTIFICATION NO. 8 (RE-2001) 1997-2002
NEW DELHI the 31st March,2001
S.O(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998) and as amended from time to time, namely:-
(i) In Schedule 2 i.e. Export Policy under Col 3 of Sr. 3 of General Notes, the word ‘ Canalised ‘appearing in the second line may be amended to read as ” State Trading Enterprise(s).
(ii) In Table B of the said Schedule 2, Word “canalised” wherever occurring under Column (3) indicating ‘Policy’ may be amended to read as ” State Trading Enterprise(s).
(iii) Against the same entry, as mentioned in sub-para (ii) above, under the column (4) of above Table indicating ‘Nature of restriction’ the following addition shall be made:-” The export through State Trading Enterprise(s) will be subject to the conditions mentioned in Paragraph 4.8 of Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 ( incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001 )”.
