NOTIFICATION NO. 7/1997-2002

NEW DELHI,DATED: THE 22nd JUNE,1998

S.O. (E) : In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade ( Development & Regulation) Act 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.

2. The entry appearing at S.No.28 of Paragraph 16.2 – Restricted Items (Exports permitted under Licence) of Part II,Chapter 16 of Exim Policy 1997-2002,as amended, shall be amended to read as under:

“Chemicals included in Schedules 2 & 3 to the Chemical Weapons Convention of the United Nations signed in Paris on 13-15 January 1993,as specified in Schedule 2 Appendix 5 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import items”, except Schedule 3 Chemicals when exported to State Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention subject to the conditions as specified in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import items.”

2. This issues in Public interest.
