NOTIFICATION NO. 68 (RE-2008)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, DATED 4th   DECEMBER, 2008

S.O. (E) –    In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under:

1. Import Policy for the item, Medium density fibre board (MDF) under Exim Code Nos. 4411 12 00, 4411 13 00 and 4411 14 00 shall be amended to read as “Free” (instead of Restricted). This amendment shall be applicable from 24.11.2008.

2. This issues in public interest.
