General Circular No. 4/2002, issued on February 11, 2002, by the Department of Company Affairs, circulates Notification No. GSR 77(E) dated February 4, 2002. The notification pertains to the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Amendment Rules, 2002, published in the Gazette of India (Extraordinary). This circular is addressed to all Regional Directors, Registrars of Companies, and Official Liquidators, directing them to acknowledge receipt and take necessary action in line with the amended rules.

NOTIFICATION NO. 48 (RE-2001) 1997-2002
NEW DELHI DATED THE 13th FEBRUARY, 2002
S.O.(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act,1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the “ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August,1998)” and as amended from time to time:-
In continuation of Notification No. 44 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 24th December,2001, the following additions shall be made against the Code No. 0703(1) in the Table B of Schedule 2 of the said ITC(HS) relating to “onions (all varieties other than Bangalore Rose onion and Krishnapuram onions)” under the column ‘nature of restriction’ :-
Further, another 1 lakh (one lakh) Metric Tonnes of onions is allowed for export through the following agencies/State Trading Enterprises for the quantity indicated against each:-
(i) National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) 35,000 MTs.
(ii) Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) 35,000 MTs.
(iii) Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Ltd.(GAIC) 10,000 MTs.
(iv) The Spices Trading Corporation Ltd. (STCL) 6,000 MTs.
(v) AP State Trading Cooperation 5,000 MTs.
(vi) The Karnataka State Co-operative Marketing Federation Ltd. (KSCMF) 2,000 MTs.
(vii) The National Co-operative Consumer’s Federation of India Ltd. (NCCF) 5,000 MTs.
(viii) The North Karnataka Onion Growers Co-operative Society 2,000 MTs.
2. These STEs/agencies shall export directly or through the registered exporters on the same terms and condition as laid down in earlier Notification No. 16(RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 17.5.2000 except condition relating to time prescribed for export for which the date indicated in Para-3 will apply.
The quantity of onions released as above shall be allowed for export by 15th April,2002.
